The children of Israel grumbled at God’s provision for them in the wilderness saying: “We remember the fish which we used to eat free in Egypt, the cucumbers and the melons and the leeks and the onions and the garlic, but now our appetite is gone. There is nothing at all to look at except this manna.”

It’s nearly a year since we visited India. I was looking at the photos and was startled to find so many to do with food. I felt hungry all of a sudden. But thank God, the yearning was not of a grumbly nature. Our India trip was good but it was good to be back in Auckland.
