Here is another email sent to our Tamil friends in Auckland, this time by my husband.

Dear Ones,

Apologies to my SriLankan brothers and sisters who may not be aware of the Indian political scenario.

As I write this mail I am not sure whether the present government will survive the vote of confidence. I wanted to send this mail much earlier, but for various reasons I didn’t do so. Now since UP and especially its Chief Minister, Miss Mayawati is in the limelight I thought I might send you this mail.

I have pasted below what a well known Indian Evangelist prophesied during the UP elections, which took place last year. I have erased the name of the evangelist since my intention is not character assassination. But I am aware that many of you may subscribe to his magazine and you might have come across this article.

If you keep abreast of the developments in Indian politics, you might be aware that the present UP Chief Minister withdrew her support to the central government last December itself and they have been at loggerheads ever since.

I know that this mail may be upsetting to some, but it is not my intention to upset you. The Bible warns us to test the spirits. I long and pray that we become discerning and careful. Please do not think that what the evangelist says here is a slip of the tongue. See the way he describes the prophecy in detail. It is nothing but a blatant lie. He has dipped his tongue and pen in falsehood and deceit.

It is by the mixture of the counterfeit faith with the true, that the devil has had the greatest advantage against Kingdom of God. By this, he has hurt the cause of Christ much more than by all the persecutions that Christians have undergone.

Regards

Philip

Deut 18:22 when a prophet speaks in the name of the LORD, if the thing does not happen or come to pass, that is the thing which the LORD has not spoken; the prophet has spoken it presumptuously; you shall not be afraid of him.

Jer 28:9 As for the prophet who prophesies of peace, when the word of the prophet comes to pass, the prophet will be known as one whom the LORD has truly sent.

Let us remember that when a person is a true prophet of God, every single prophecy will come to pass. If you find that a prophet gets even as much as 99 percent of his or her prophecies right, the person is a False Prophet and you shall not be afraid of him.

1 Sam 3:19 So Samuel grew, and the LORD was with him and let none of his words fall to the ground. Samuel’s life is an example of what happens in the life of a true prophet of God?
